This tea is harvested during the early spring when the leaves are most tender. The tea, when brewed, has a delicate floral and fruity aroma and taste.
BENEFITS: The leaves of Darjeeling tea contain polyphenols: powerful antioxidants. They may help fighting inflammation and stimulate good bacteria growth in the intestines it is believed that this tea may also help maintain oral health.
USES: Best enjoyed when consumed without any additives (or with just little sugar or honey). Often paired with a light dessert.
BREWING: Allow 1- 1½ teaspoon per cup. Boil the water and wait until the rumbling stops before pouring it onto the leaves. Steep for 2 3 minutes.
