HOFT Fence Picket Spacers – made of black powder-coated aluminum – are ONLY necessary when using ½ in. thick composite fence picket with HOFT Post Kits. These spacers create ½-in spacing between boards. IMPORTANT: for 1-in thick recommended finished boards (5/4 wood deck or HOFT 1-in Composite Fence Boards), use spacers already included in all HOFT Post Kits.
